What do we need to work with SMN?
You only need an idea, a challenge or a goal you want to explore. Our first conversation is designed to help shorten the cycle to develop your product by making the next step clearer.
What is the standard timeframe once engaged?
It depends on the product, materials, design and functionality. We explore the brief with you and our manufacturing partners before agreeing a realistic path and timeline.
What materials do you work with?
We encourage sustainable, ethical and suitable material choices, including certified timber, recycled and emerging materials. This does not mean we will not discuss standard materials when they are the right fit for the product.
Do I need to be a member to enquire?
No. Anyone can start a conversation. Our membership gives you ongoing access to the network, learning materials and community; the service pathways add more tailored support.
Can you help me find a manufacturer overseas?
Yes. We are building a global network and can help you explore suitable suppliers, pre-qualify options and understand the commitments involved in working together.
